Coworking in Uluwatu & the Bukit: Spaces, Prices & Tips (2026)

Where to work in Uluwatu, Ungasan and Pecatu: Bukit coworking spaces, real day-pass and monthly prices, internet tips, and how to meet people while you work.

Coworking in Uluwatu & the Bukit: Working From Bali’s Southern Cliffs

For a long time the Bukit was where you came to surf and switch off, not to get work done. That has changed. Uluwatu, Pecatu and Ungasan now have proper coworking spaces with fibre internet, 24/7 access and real communities, and you can still be at a cliff-top sunset an hour after your last call.

This guide covers the coworking spaces on the Bukit, what they cost, and how to make remote work here actually work. For rents, getting around and the nearest hospitals, see our Uluwatu area guide.

What makes working from the Bukit different

A few things to know before you pick a base:

  • Distances are longer than they look. Uluwatu is spread out across the peninsula. Almost everything needs a scooter or a car, so choose a space close to where you sleep.
  • Power and water cuts happen now and then. Ask your villa and your coworking space about backup power.
  • It is quieter than Canggu. Fewer cafés and fewer spaces, but also less traffic, and the community tends to know each other by name.

Where to base yourself on the Bukit

The Bukit is not one place. Choose the pocket that fits your days:

  • Ungasan: quieter and more residential, close to Melasti and Pandawa beaches, and a short ride to Nusa Dua and Jimbaran. We wrote about its slower side in Hidden Gems of Uluwatu: Discover the Charm of Bukit, Ungasan.
  • Pecatu, Bingin and Padang Padang: closer to the famous surf breaks and the busier café strip along the main roads.
  • Jimbaran: a calm bay between the airport and the Bukit, and a good middle ground if you often go into the city. See the Jimbaran guide.
  • Nusa Dua: calm swimming beaches and a resort area, good if you are here with family. See the Nusa Dua guide.

Tips for remote work in Uluwatu

1. Don’t rely only on villa Wi-Fi. Ask your host for a speed test screenshot before you book, and keep a mobile data plan as backup.

2. Plan around the sun. The Bukit is at its best early in the morning and at sunset. Many people work late morning to mid-afternoon at a space, then head out.

3. Get a scooter you are comfortable on. Roads here are hilly and spread out. Our scooter rental guide covers licences, helmets and fair prices.

4. Know where to go if something goes wrong. Surf cuts and scooter scrapes happen. Our clinics and hospitals guide lists the 24-hour options near Uluwatu.

5. Use coworking to meet people. The Bukit community is smaller than Canggu’s, which makes it easier to become a regular. Go to one event a week and you will start seeing the same faces at the beach.
