How to Add Custom Questions on BaliSquad

Need dietary notes, skill level, or “how did you hear about us?” before people show up? Use Custom Questions on your event form. Guests answer when they register.

This section is optional. Leave it empty if a simple RSVP is enough.

Custom Questions live on the create/edit form, next to Ticket tiers. They are not under Manage Event tabs.

On a new event

  1. Open Add Event.
  2. Desktop: scroll past Ticket tiers to Custom Questions → Add Question.
  3. Mobile: Basics → Details → Settings → Finish, then after photos and Ticket tiers open Custom Questions → Add Question.
  4. Fill the question and hit Publish Event when the rest of the listing is ready.

Questions with empty text are dropped on submit, so don’t leave blank rows.

On an event you already have

  1. Open the event → Manage Event → Edit Event.
  2. Find Custom Questions (same place as on Add Event).
  3. Add Question or edit existing ones.
  4. Save with Update Event (published) or Publish Event (draft).

What you can set per question

  • Question text
  • Type: Text, Select (dropdown), or Checkbox (multiple)
  • Options for Select/Checkbox (keep at least two; use Add Option for more)
  • Required if they must answer before registering
  • Reorder by dragging (desktop) or using up/down (mobile)

On mobile, tapping a question opens Edit Question with Done or Delete Question.

Tips

  • Ask only what you’ll actually use at the door
  • Prefer short required questions; long forms scare off RSVPs
  • Pair with ticket tiers when price and a couple of questions both matter
