How to Cancel or Delete an Event on BaliSquad

Need to call off a meetup? BaliSquad has two different actions. They are easy to mix up.

Cancel marks the event as cancelled. It stays visible so people see it was called off. You can cancel any time the event is not already cancelled, even if the date passed or people have already RSVP’d.

Delete removes the event permanently. On the More tab under Manage Event, Delete only appears when the event has zero registrations. If anyone has joined, use Cancel instead.

Both options live under Manage Event, which is for people on the hosting organization for that listing. Co-hosts named on the event page cannot open Manage Event for cancel or delete. Ask someone on the org team if you need one of these done.

There is no Cancel or Delete button on the public event page for visitors. Hosts use Manage Event → More.

Cancel an event

1. Open Manage Event for the event.
2. Open the More tab.
3. In Cancel Event, tap Cancel Event.
4. Confirm with Yes, Cancel Event (or Keep Event if you changed your mind).

The page refreshes when cancel goes through. Attendees will see the event as cancelled.

If the event is already cancelled, the Cancel control is hidden.

Delete an event

Only on Manage Event → More, and only when nobody has registered yet.

1. Open Manage Event for the event.
2. Open the More tab.
3. In Delete Event, tap Delete Event.
4. Confirm. This cannot be undone.
5. You’ll land on My Events (/events/me).

If you don’t see Delete, someone has already registered. Cancel the event instead.

Delete a draft

Still editing and never published? On the edit form, tap Delete Draft and confirm Yes, Delete Draft. When that succeeds, you’re sent to the events hub (/event). That path is separate from deleting a published event under Manage Event → More (which sends you to /events/me).

Quick rule

• People already joined → Cancel (Manage Event → More)
• Nobody joined and you want it gone → Delete (Manage Event → More)
• Never published → Delete Draft on the edit form (then /event)
