Judgment sits at the core of how we see each other — and how we write each other — privately, on social media, or in books. This session offers a way to explore and work through these tensions without simplifying what we experience and witness.

A writer’s most essential skill is the ability to hold opposing views, inhabit uncomfortable perspectives, and render judgment without flattening the human being behind it.

Rather than debating ideas, we will work with them on the page: examining how perception is formed, how bias enters a voice, and how easily we reveal or reduce ourselves — as characters in our own stories.
