🌿 DEEP TALKS | HOW TO SEE HUMANITY
We live in a moment where humanity feels both hyper-advanced and strangely incomplete (we’re never good-enough at something). Ways of living appear and disappear at the snaps of fingers, leaving us to constantly negotiate what it means to be human — not just individually, but collectively.
Are we building something coherent, or simply reacting to what we’ve already set in motion?
This session opens a space to step back from the noise and look at the bigger picture to examine patterns we’ve already laid down — in how we relate, what we value, and what we choose to prioritise.
Beneath the surface of progress and conflict sits a quieter question: what kind of species are we actually becoming, and by whose design?
We’ll ask
👉🏽 Are we a civilization in its infancy, its prime, or its decline?
👉🏽 If we met another civilization, what would we proudly show them?
👉🏽 Are we naturally a collaborative species or a predatory one?
👉🏽 If humanity is self-authored, what are the first chapters we have already written about ourselves?
👉🏽 What collective goals do we share that have nothing to do with survival?
About Deep Talks
Deep Talks replaces Philosophy Club, which has been running for three years in Canggu.
It is led by a community of critical thinkers who believes in the power of good and challenging conversations.
We meet twice a month to explore ideas that matter, with humour, passion, respect, and curiosity.
